FIREARM TRANSFERS TO BRILEY

Briley will receive firearms for transfer from another FFL dealer. Please contact gunsales@briley.com with your name, phone number, and description of firearm being transferred.

When your firearm is delivered to Briley, we will contact you. All firearms must be entered into our inventory before transfer can take place. Because we receive so many packages each day, “transfer firearms” will be mixed in with our daily inventory shipments. It will take at least 1 –2 days to be processed, depending on the volume of our incoming shipments.

We will contact you when the firearm is ready for pickup.

Once the gun is processed and ready for pickup you will need to bring a valid driver’s license, complete the standard form 4473, and pass a NICS background check. If your driver’s license address does not match your current address you must contact DPS and receive a change of address before picking up the gun.

Transfer fees are $50 per firearm. There may be a discount for additional firearms transferred on one 4473 form. If you need to pick up your gun earlier than we plan to have it ready, it will be considered a “rush” order. Rush orders will incur an additional charge of $50.

In the event that your background check is delayed, and goes to an “OPEN” state and you do not get a PROCEED, the firearm will not be transferred to you. You will be responsible for shipping charges back to the original FFL dealer.

FIREARMS TRANSFERS TO ANOTHER DEALER

Briley will transfer firearms for you to another dealer. We must have a copy of the dealer’s Federal Firearms License before accepting your gun to be shipped. Please have the dealer send their CURRENT FFL by email to gunsales@briley.com with your name listed in the email. You will need to pay for shipping and handling charges as well as insurance on your shipment. Please contact the Briley showroom for more information.

Please note that the receiving FFL dealer will most likely charge a transfer fee. Please contact that dealer directly for more information.

BACKGROUND CHECK INFORMATION

You must have a current valid driver license with your correct address in order to complete the background check.

BRILEY WILL NOT TRANSFER A FIREARM IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE A “PROCEED.” IN THE EVENT THAT THE BACKGROUND CHECK GOES FROM DELAY TO OPEN, WE WILL BE UNABLE TO COMPLETE THE TRANSFER.
